A Volunteer for JOY 2025 is a young person between the age group of 18-30 who is actively involved in any capacity in the local parish e.g. Usher, Catechesis, Lector, Eucharist Minister and Parish Youth Group Leader

I clearly understand and agree that they have made necessary arrangements for leave for days away from work / studies.

The dates for volunteering will be communicated directly from Rome if my application is selected.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2025. The upper age limit is 30 years.

Last date for submission of applications is 15th September, 2024.

The YAM coordinators of JOY coordinating team reserve the right to reject or cancel an application after subsequent background checks.

I clearly understand and agree that upon confirmation of registration I will make a non-refundable payment of AED 100/- as registration charges along with the first instalment and submit copies of my documents (colour passport copies and emirates id)

I will attend all scheduled meetings and events. If unable to attend, I will inform the parish JOY coordinating team at least one day prior by email BEFORE the event.

I understand and agree that If more than 1 absent recorded, the Parish coordinators reserve the right to cancel my registration without refund.

I agree to attend the events in November 2024, February 2025 and June 2025

I understand and agree that in the event of any mishap or accident, I nor my parents, family /guardian, friends… will not hold responsible the church & its authority, the priests / nuns and/or the organisers and the coordinators of the JOY coordinating team in any way.

I understand and agree that if I withdraw my application, I will send a request by email to the parish JOY coordinating team and also a copy to avosayam@gmail.com with ‘withdrawal of application’ in the subject line.

I will clearly mention the reason/s for withdrawal

I clearly understand, agree and aware that the tentative date of visa submission is from 1st March 2025 however, it depends on the Italian Embassy and Consulate.

I clearly understand and agree that my UAE residence visa must have a validity of at least 4 months before applying for visa.

I clearly understand and agree that my passport should have at least validity of at least 6 months after the return date.

I clearly understand and agree that my Passport must have at least two blank pages for visa stamping.

I clearly understand and agree that It is my responsibility to ensure that my passport and UAE residence visa are updated before the passport and documents are submitted to the Embassy or Consulate.

I clearly understand and agree that I will pay for the visa charges

I clearly understand and agree that the JOY organising committee of AVOSA will only assist in the visa processing.

I clearly understand that I am responsible for all my travel arrangements (flight ticket, travel insurance, accommodation, food…) at my own expense.

I clearly understand and agree that I am responsible to contact the JOY organising committee in Rome for all correspondence and the Volunteer application process.

I clearly understand and agree that I will clearly provide my travel dates and plans in writing to the JOY organising committee of AVOSA.

I clearly understand and agree that upon my return back to UAE within a week, I will meet the YAM ministry parish coordinator for a written feedback.

I clearly understand and agree that I will also have to sign a ‘Code of Conduct’ and submit the signed copy at the time of the first instalment.

I clearly understand and agree to submit my passport, visa and Emirates id copies at the time of submission of registration form.

I clearly understand and agree that I am a member and ambassador of AVOSA and any request to participate separately in any NON AVOSA group(s) for music, dance, skit… will not be permitted

If the applicant is a member of any ministry in the respective parish, they should provide a letter confirming the same from the ministry coordinator.

If the applicant is not a part of the usher’s ministry, they should join any of the parish youth/young adult groups and should bring it to the notice of the group leader and also to the parish YAM coordinator

The applicant clearly understands and agrees that they have to sign a form from the parish YAM coordinator and the same also by the parish priest / parish spiritual director of YAM. (Form will be provided and to be submitted upon submitting your application to Rome)

A separate form from the Organising committee in Rome will be signed and handed over to the applicant only after the above terms and conditions are met.
